The
Six Thousand Year Error
-
For years Christians and Scientists
have been wasting time, arguing over the age of the earth. You will
learn here that there is NO argument. The Bible does NOT
tell us how old the earth is. It does tell us that it existed for
an unknown length of time BEFORE man.
First,
we need to correctly translate Genesis
Genesis 1:1-2
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth
BECAME
(NOT
was. Hebrew: hayah) without form (a
wasteland. Hebrew: tohoo), and void (a
ruin. Hebrew: bohoo).
From this we can plainly see that
there is an indeterminate (unknown) amount of time from the original
creation to the time the earth BECAME
a wasteland and a ruin.
Next
We Will See That GOD Did Not Originally Create The World As A Wasteland
Isaiah 45:18
For this says the Lord that created the heavens; God Himself that
formed the earth and made it; He has established it, He did not create
it in vain (tohoo),
He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none
else.
We can
plainly see from this, that from the time God first created the earth,
until the time of man, that something very
catastrophic happened. From the original creation until man,
was the age of the giant dinosaurs, and all
that went before man.
The Bible
and Science in 100% agreement. Genesis 1:1 is the original creation,
but from Gen 1:2 on, it is NOT the original creation, but
a re-creation of an earth that was turned
into a wasteland and a ruin.
Here
are the true usages of the Hebrew words tohoo
and
bohoo
Jeremiah 4:19...I
cannot hold my peace, because you have heard, Oh my soul, the sound
of the trumpet, the alarm of WAR.
Jeremiah 4:23
I saw the earth, and I saw that it was without form (tohoo),
and void (bohoo);
and the heavens, and they had no light.
(From the WAR in verse 19 above)
These words are commonly used to
describe the destruction caused by a WAR.
This is a prophesy of a future WAR
that is still to come upon this earth. OUR earth. Read the
verse again about the heavens having no light. Can you say the words,
'Nuclear Winter' boys and girls? (Actually, we have Neutron Bombs
now. They kill us much more efficiently. My, but man is getting
so much better...NOT!). These words are always used after some kind
of wreck, ruin, disaster, or major catastrophe.
Our
Blessed Promise From God
2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the
heavens shall pass away with a great noise,
and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also, and
everything that is on it, will be burned up.

of flesh and blood is destroyed, that we have a dwelling place from God,
an eternal dwelling in heaven, not made by man. 2
